Yoga nidra is a delicously calming and enjoyable meditative practice that is appropriate for anyone. The practice is done lying down; the body is guided into sleep, and the thinking mind is encouraged into silence, leaving awareness bright, awake and lucid.

The benefits of yogic nidra include deep rest and healing for the body and the mind. Yoga nidra can induce an experience of deep meditation, with the possibility of achieving mental peace and stillness more quickly and easily than a traditional meditation practice.
